Justaroundmidnight (Jacko) ran them ragged to win the Heywood Cup at Casterton on Sunday.
In what was a daring front running ride by Declan Bates, he allowed him to cruise to the lead from the wide barrier. Having ridden Jacko in plenty of his track gallops, Declan knew that he had to allow him to stride along on his own terms if he was going to get the best out of him. And stride along he did.
He was starting to feel the pinch the last 200m, but his margin was too superior winning by an impressive 7 lengths.
