In very warm conditions, Early Plea headed to Swan Hill to take on the 975m "Lickety Split".
After beginning awkwardly, he soon mustered speed to lead the mad dash. At the top of the straight, Dean Holland urged him along and it was all over from there, going on to win by just over a length.
It brought up Early Pleas second win from four starts. Both of his wins have been at Swan Hill over the 975m journey.
He has now been turned out for a spell and will be back in the New Year.
