A beautiful ride by promising apprentice Ryan Houston enabled the mare to track the speed before being too strong for her opposition on the heavy track.
Starting a well-supported $2.80 favourite the mare relished a drop back in grade as Daniel explained to Racing.com presenter Kate Watts after the race.
“We were a little bit worried about the heavy track, but back to 58 grade and the claim, we were backing her in to be better than them.”
Also responding to a recent run of placings, Daniel indicated he will have a small but in form team at the carnival.
“It was a frustrating weekend, but a couple of them were good tune up runs for Warrnambool, she had to win today to potentially run, so we will see how she comes through it.”
Other runners mentioned for the carnival were Fortunate Kiss and new stable acquisition Outlaws Revenge, both runners-up in respective races last weekend.
Houston’s ride also looks to have locked him in for the Bool.
“It was a good ride by Ryan, we will probably keep him on for Warrnambool.”
Her fifth career win now sees her prizemoney go past the $150,000 mark.
Congratulations to her winning connections.
